Former President Joe Biden's prostate cancer has spread to other parts of his body, according to a statement made by his son Hunter.

Hunter Biden revealed the news in an interview with the BBC, stating that the cancer has "metastasized into his bones and further", causing significant pain. He described his father's condition as "very painful" and "very debilitating".

Despite his poor health, Hunter Biden said that his father is still active, attending speaking engagements. However, he expressed concern about his father's well-being, stating "I wish he would complain more, because it's not good".

This development comes after Joe Biden revealed his prostate cancer diagnosis in May 2025, which was later confirmed to be Stage 4 and aggressive. Dr. Ezekiel J. Emanuel, an oncologist at the University of Pennsylvania, had previously stated that it is likely that Biden had been living with the cancer since the start of his presidency in 2021.

Hunter Biden's comments echo those made by his wife, Jill, who told ABC's "The View" hosts in June that her husband's cancer has slowed him down.
