The top-ranked Texas Longhorns secured a 30-6 victory over UTSA on Saturday night in Austin, with star quarterback Arch Manning contributing an early spark to the team's performance.

Manning threw two touchdown passes, completing 17 of 33 passes for 164 yards, but struggled for much of the game. He took multiple hard hits from UTSA defenders before exiting the game about halfway through the fourth quarter.

The Longhorns' offense was led in the first half by wide receiver Cam Coleman, who scored two touchdowns, including a leaping catch in the corner of the end zone that put Texas ahead 17-3 in the second quarter. Gianni Spetic also contributed to the team's scoring with three field goals, and Texas led 23-6 entering the fourth quarter.

The Longhorns' defense, which had a dominant second half against Ohio State, continued to impress, allowing just 143 total yards and keeping the Roadrunners out of the end zone. Freshman Derrick Cooper scored his first career touchdown on a run with less than nine minutes left on the clock.

The victory improved Texas's record to 3-0, but the team's challenge will intensify next week when it opens Southeastern Conference play against No. 15 Tennessee in Knoxville.
