The Milwaukee Brewers have won their first World Series game in 44 years, defeating the Tampa Bay Rays 3-2 in Game 1 of the Fall Classic. The game was a tightly contested affair, with the Brewers taking an early lead and holding on for the win. In the top of the first inning, Christian Yelich hit an RBI triple, followed by a single from William Contreras, to give the Brewers a 2-0 lead.

The Rays threatened in the top of the ninth inning, loading the bases with one out, but Liam Hicks grounded into a double play that was initially ruled as the game-ending play. However, replay review showed that shortstop Cooper Pratt had come off second base, making it a 3-2 game with runners on second and third and two outs.

The Brewers had already begun celebrating prematurely, setting off fireworks and creating a chaotic scene, but the game was far from over. Johnny DeLuca struck out to end the game, securing the win for the Brewers.

The game was a pitching duel, with both teams' starters going five innings without giving up a run. Jacob Misiorowski held the Rays to just one run in his five innings, while Nick Martinez settled down to get through five innings for the Rays.

The Brewers will look to take a 2-0 lead in the series on Saturday night, with Logan Henderson set to start against Drew Rasmussen of the Rays.
