A private investigator has suggested that the family murders at Great Wolf Lodge in Pennsylvania may have been premeditated. Metallica Rose Harrison, 27, is facing two counts of criminal homicide after prosecutors say she stabbed and killed her husband, Charles "Chaz," and their 3-year-old son, Tristan.

The investigation into the killings is ongoing, but the private investigator, Rod Devine, has pointed out several factors that could indicate premeditation. According to Devine, the knives used in the killings did not match any knives kept by the resort, and the fact that the family's 401(k) account was drained before their three-week stay at the resort is also suspicious.

Devine's firm is based in the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania, and he has experience working with homicide suspects. He believes that the combination of the drained retirement fund, the nature of the killings, and the possible use of murder weapons brought from home suggests possible premeditation.

Harrison's stepmother has previously told investigators that the killings appeared to be "preplanned," and family members have described Harrison as dominant and controlling. The investigation is ongoing, and Harrison is due in court on October 21.

The family of the victims is still grappling with the loss of their loved ones. Chaz's sister has set up a GoFundMe page to help with funeral expenses, and has shared a statement expressing her grief and shock at the loss of her brother and nephew.
