NASCAR driver Corey Heim was involved in a physical altercation at the Martinsville Speedway in Virginia on Saturday night. According to eyewitnesses, Heim, who won Cup races at San Diego and Indy this season, was racing in a late model event when he got into a confrontation with Treyten Lapcevich after the checkered flag.

The incident occurred in front of a hot dog stand, and Heim was subsequently attacked by several individuals, with reports suggesting that he was punched multiple times. Heim has since taken to social media to downplay the incident, saying "solid effort, but at least make it count next time" in a post accompanied by a picture of himself looking normal.

The altercation has sparked debate among NASCAR fans and analysts, with some questioning Heim's actions on the track and others criticizing the behavior of the individuals involved in the altercation. Heim's team, Chad Bryant Racing, has not commented on the incident.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, NASCAR driver Carson Hocevar was involved in a physical confrontation with Ryan Blaney at the Bristol Motor Speedway last weekend. However, it appears that the two drivers have since made amends, with Blaney admitting defeat and Hocevar praising him as a "stand-up guy" in media interviews.

In other NASCAR news, Kyle Larson won the Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway on Sunday, leading 235 of the 267 laps and taking the lead in the championship standings with six races to go. Larson's dominance on the track was a stark contrast to the physical altercations that marred the late model event at Martinsville.
