Biscuitville has been named the best fast-food breakfast chain in the United States for the fourth consecutive year, according to the USA Today's 10Best Readers' Choice Awards.
The Southern breakfast chain, which operates in just three states - North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia - outpaced larger national chains such as McDonald's, Chick-fil-A, Burger King, and Wendy's in the competition.
Biscuitville's chief marketing officer, Kristie Mitchell, attributed the company's success to its commitment to using high-quality ingredients and traditional cooking methods. "We have earned it, but we don't want to live in a space where we come to expect it," she said, noting that the company's focus on scratch-made biscuits and fresh ingredients sets it apart from other fast-food chains.
Biscuitville has recently opened its 90th restaurant and plans to focus on expanding within its existing markets for the next several years, with potential future growth in states such as Tennessee and Georgia. The company's family-owned roots and commitment to traditional cooking methods have helped to build a loyal customer base, with many customers praising the taste and quality of Biscuitville's biscuits.
Celebrity chef Jason Smith, a contestant on the upcoming season of Fox's "The Floor," praised Biscuitville's biscuits as tender and "super soft," but noted that he prefers a different regional chain's biscuits, Tudor's Biscuit World. Despite this, Smith acknowledged that Biscuitville's Ultimate Country Ham Biscuit is a standout item on the menu.
