The Super Bowl will feature an alternate broadcast courtesy of Pat McAfee, a former NFL punter and media personality. McAfee announced on Friday that he will be providing an alternate cast of Super Bowl LXI in February through ESPN, a move that mirrors his "Field Pass" telecasts in the college football national championship earlier this year.

McAfee's alternate broadcasts will also be featured for select "Monday Night Football" games this season. The news comes as the Walt Disney Company announced that Disney+ will stream ESPN's and ABC's broadcast of the big game, marking the seventh consecutive year a Super Bowl will be available on a streaming service.

The Super Bowl will be broadcast on Valentine's Day, with Joe Buck and Troy Aikman returning to the booth to call the game. This will be the NFL's championship game under the existing media rights deal, which added ESPN to the rotation of Fox, CBS, and NBC in 2021.

McAfee has been gaining more visibility on ESPN this year, joining the "Monday Night Countdown" pregame show in addition to his full-time role on "College GameDay."
