Angel Reese led the Atlanta Dream to a 97-71 victory over the Golden State Valkyries on Wednesday night, giving the Dream a 2-1 lead in the WNBA Finals.

Reese finished with 21 points and 12 rebounds, marking her second consecutive game with at least 20 points and 10 rebounds. She became the youngest player in WNBA Finals history to achieve this feat, joining A'ja Wilson as the only players to do so.

The game was played in front of a sellout crowd at State Farm Arena, with the building reportedly loud and energetic throughout the contest. The Dream's fans made their presence known, and the team's performance on the court reflected their enthusiasm.

Reese was a dominant force from the start, scoring the Dream's first basket and finishing the opening quarter with eight points, including a three-pointer that pushed the Dream's lead to 22-12. The Valkyries struggled to find their footing, missing their first eight shots and not making a field goal until 4:38 remained in the first quarter.

The Dream continued to pull away in the second quarter, with Naz Hillmon hitting three three-pointers to help the team take a 46-40 lead into halftime. The Valkyries made a push in the third quarter, but the Dream answered with an 8-0 run, led by Reese, to take a 57-49 lead. They never looked back, with DeWanna Bonner hitting a three to start a 12-2 finish to the period.

The final score was 97-71, with Reese leading the way. The Dream now have a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series and are two victories away from a championship. Game 4 is scheduled for Saturday at State Farm Arena.
